Our in-person office is conveniently located at 545 Wilson Avenue, just steps from Wilson Subway Station. We also offer virtual therapy. Our skills groups are currently conducted online and we have a waiting list for in-person groups.

Justin Sharpe

Justin Sharpe is a Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW) and psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience supporting clients with both complex mental health concerns and everyday emotional and relational challenges. He has worked in a variety of settings including CAMH, U of T, Trillium Health Partners and private practice.

Justin’s approach is grounded in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), with additional training in CBT, trauma therapy, ERP for OCD, and parent coaching. He works in a structured, collaborative way, helping clients better understand their patterns while building practical skills for change.

Justin is the founder of Midtown DBT, created to expand access to comprehensive, evidence-based DBT programs. He remains committed to making mental health care more accessible, practical, and effective.

When not with patients, Justin is busy with his young family and all things hockey.

Hayley Colt

Hayley Colt is a Registered Social Worker and psychotherapist who specializes in helping individuals turn distress into resilience through grounded, evidence-based, and compassion-driven care. Drawing on advanced training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), she uses a structured, trauma-informed, skills-based approach to support clients in gaining clarity, strengthening coping, and creating meaningful, lasting change.

Hayley entered the field of social work as a second career and brings valuable experience from the corporate world into her clinical practice. This background informs her practical, goal-oriented, and collaborative style, helping clients translate insight into real-world change.

With roots in leadership, coaching, and training, Hayley’s therapeutic approach is purposeful, transparent, and engaging. Whether supporting clients through emotional intensity or helping them integrate concrete DBT skills into daily life, her goal is simple: therapy that feels supportive, effective, and genuinely life-changing.

Outside of her work, Hayley is a mother to teenagers and young adults, and to one very big fur baby.

Lindsay Detsky

Lindsay Detsky is a Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW), psychotherapist, and Ontario Certified Teacher who works with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in helping clients feel understood while building practical skills for change.

With 15 years of experience as a teacher, Lindsay brings a strong understanding of learning, behaviour, and emotional development. She has worked in child welfare, school settings, and private practice.

Lindsay has particular experience supporting neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and executive functioning challenges. She helps clients build insight, strengthen coping, and navigate daily challenges more effectively.
Outside of work, Lindsay can often be found carpooling her three kids or spending time with her puppy.

Allison Dalton

Allison Dalton is a Registered Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working in education and healthcare settings. She has supported individuals facing a wide range of emotional and behavioural challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and more complex mental health concerns. Allison’s work is grounded in evidence-based approaches, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy. She focuses on helping clients build practical skills to manage emotions, improve relationships, and navigate life’s challenges more effectively.

Allison’s approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative, creating a space where clients can better understand themselves while working toward meaningful change.
Outside of work, Allison enjoys spending time with her family, including her two sons and her very silly golden retriever, and can often be found walking or skiing outdoors.

Emily Duffin

Emily is a registered social worker and clinical therapist with over 10 years of experience in the field. She has worked across hospital and community settings, focusing on crisis, psychotherapy (CBT, DBT, &IFS), trauma treatment and skills group facilitation.

She currently practices privately in Toronto, both virtually and in person. Her work is client-centred, highly ethical, harm reduction oriented, and attachment/trauma-informed.

She seeks to embody intersectionality and anti-oppression and is experienced in working closely with clients
from diverse backgrounds (e.g., newcomers, people with disabilities/neurodivergence, and trans* and gender non-conforming people).

Beyond her work, she lives proudly with chronic health
conditions that both challenge her and offer the gift of a uniquely beautiful perspective on life. She also identifies as a trauma survivor, disabled, neurodivergent, a therapy client/consumer and as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Some clients have chosen to work with her because they value this lived experience in their therapy process.

She lives in the East End of Toronto with her partner and her rescue dog. Some things she enjoys in her spare time are yoga, camping, reading, video games and puzzles.

Ken McIntosh

Ken is a registered social worker providing DBT skills groups and individual therapy. He works with adults who feel stuck in patterns that aren’t working, especially when it comes to emotions, relationships, or reactions that don’t align with their values.

His approach is warm and collaborative, while also gently challenging clients to develop new insights and a clearer understanding of themselves. He aims to create a space where clients feel comfortable being genuine while experimenting with new ways of moving through life.

Ken’s work is grounded in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, with a focus on applying skills in real-life situations. He helps clients make these tools practical and relevant, supporting them in building a life that feels worth living.

He holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Education from the University of Ottawa.

Alana Weinberg

Alana Weinberg is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She has worked in community mental health and has experience supporting individuals facing a wide range of emotional and behavioural challenges using various treatment models.

Alana is passionate about Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). She supports clients in building skills to better manage emotions, improve relationships, and navigate life’s challenges, believing these skills are universal and beneficial for everyone.

When not working, Alana enjoys reading, spending time with her friends and family, and most importantly with her dog, Teddy, who is supposed to be a Cockapoo but is mainly a Cocker Spaniel. 

Mark Rootenberg

Mark holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology from York University, where he trained in psychotherapy and conducted research on human wellbeing. He has experience working in a variety of clinical settings, including Sunnybrook Hospital, Baycrest Hospital, the York University Psychology Clinic, and private practice.

Mark’s work is grounded in evidence-based approaches, with a foundation in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). He takes a flexible, individualized approach, adapting strategies to meet each client’s needs and goals.

With a strong background in psychological research, Mark stays current with the latest evidence to ensure his work is thoughtful, effective, and grounded in best practices. He focuses on treating the whole person, helping clients build meaningful and lasting change.
